nzflatmates is closing down

After 25 years of helping kiwis find a place to live, it is with heavy hearts that we have taken the decision to close down nzflatmates.

The site will be taken offline on 28 February 2026. All listings will be withdrawn and personal information deleted.

You may continue to browse, create listings and send enquiries until that time.

Since relaunching in 2022 we have operated nzflatmates as a free service with no charge to users nor any advertising or other revenue. The intention was to develop a business model around additional paid listing features, but that has not proven to be viable. The continued operation of the free service has come at considerable cost to the owners which is no longer sustainable.

We wish to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us, and we trust that you have enjoyed using nzflatmates.
